Forest Residence by DRAW Architecten and Bijsterbosch & Jacobs transforms an existing home without erasing its past. Rather than setting old and new in contrast, the architecture allows them to merge: the weight and texture of the original brickwork gradually give way to lighter, more open spaces that reach into the landscape. Generous glazing turns the surrounding greenery into an ever-present part of the interior, while the precision of the new interventions gives the house an almost effortless clarity.
